Jacqueline introduces her boyfriend, Simon, to his best friend Linet, and tells Linet that he hires Simon, and that Simon is the perfect person. Linet agrees and hires Simon. Jacqueline tells her lover Simon to take Linet to a dance as a thank you. Simon and Linet dance, but they dance as if the two are in love. Jacqueline watches from afar and seems to sense something is up. After a while, Linet and Simon got married in a hotel called Aswan in Egypt. Meanwhile, his friend was briefing Poirot about the events at the wedding. And at that moment, Jacqueline, Simon's ex-girlfriend, came through the door. Everyone had moved away. Jacqueline follows Simon and Linet everywhere. Jacqueline had a desire for revenge. They told this situation to Mr. Poirot. But Mr. Poirot said he couldn't help unless a crime was committed and there was no murder etc. Then Mr. Poirot went to talk to Jacqueline. He said that they were married now and that he should leave them alone, but Jacqueline had officially become obsessed with Simon. And she said she still loves him or something.

Then he said that if I die, I will not die alone. Mr. Poirot told this to Simon and Linet. The next day, Linet, Simon, and many others boarded a ship and began to sail down the Nile. Everyone was having a great time on board. One night, when Mr. Poirot is sleeping early in his room, Linet and Simon are playing bridge with their friends when Jacqueline suddenly enters. He is in a drunken state. She started shouting all her thoughts about Jacqueline Linet and Simon in public. As a result, one was an old friend and the other was once his fiancee. Jacqueline felt betrayed. Linet stops playing games with her friends and goes to her room. She doesn't want to see him anymore. A few more people left the game and left. There were four people inside. Jacqueline, Simon and two more. Jacqueline continued to say bad words to Simon. As if it wasn't enough that Jacqueline was drunk, she tries to fill her glass with alcohol to drink more. But Simon stops him. An argument ensues between Jacqueline and Simon. Simon tells Jacqueline that he has put himself in a funny, even humiliating, situation. During this discussion, Jacqueline had lost herself with the effect of her drunkenness. She pulled out a pistol from her bag and fired at Simon. Since Simon was shot, he collapsed into the chair and began to press on his wound with a handkerchief he took out of his pocket. The gun falls from Jacqueline's hand and she is horrified. The gun in Jacqueline's hand slides under a seat. Jacqueline couldn't believe she was doing this and started having a nervous breakdown. One of the other two people in the room takes Jacqueline outside. The other calls a doctor and tells him that Simon was shot. Jacqueline had shattered his bone from hitting Simon in the foot. The doctor injects both of them with sedatives.

The next morning, one of the servants takes breakfast to Linet's room. When he enters, he encounters Linet's lifeless corpse, his pillow covered in blood, from which he had been shot in the head. The Doctor and Mr. Poirot go to Linet's room. The doctor determines that he died 6-8 hours ago. The doctor says he was killed with a small caliber gun. Mr. Poirot immediately thinks of Jacqueline. Because the weapon in him matches the doctor's description. Mr. Poirot starts looking for Jacqueline's gun. He had asked the other two people who were there last night about the gun. The woman said she had pushed the gun under the seat and when she came to retrieve it, the gun was not there. Someone had found the gun and killed Linet, and it was most likely thrown into the Nile. Simon had learned of Linet's death, and he was literally devastated. One of the passengers heard the sound of an object falling into the water. Another claims that someone was running on deck at the time of the murder. An old and rich woman claims that a valuable shawl has been lost. Mr. Poirot had told them to look for the gun in the Nile. He is certain that Jacqueline did not commit the murder. Because Jacqueline had someone on her head all night. Another person who is impossible to be a murderer is Simon. Simon did not commit the murder because the bullet hit his foot and it was almost impossible for him to walk. While Mr. Poirot is still trying to find out who committed the murder, Linet's chambermaid is stabbed to death. Poirot is quick to realize that from a piece of banknote on the tip of the victim's fingertips, he was eliminated for blackmailing the murderer. During this time, the missing gun is found. He was thrown into the Nile, wrapped in the shawl that the old woman had lost.
